s of Monday, live table games have reopened at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Blackjack and Roulette tables are now available for guests to play.
Additionally, Baccarat, Craps, and Ultimate Hold’em are expected to return to the casino floor by Thanksgiving.
Potawatomi held a ribbon-cutting and ceremonial Blackjack game for charity to celebrate the return.
The Potawatomi Hotel & Casino resumed 24/7 operations on October 18 for the first time since March 2020.
President and CEO Dominic Ortiz, said: “It’s been a hard road to get the business back up and running and create jobs in the city. But we’re excited. We’re ready. Table games have always been the heart of entertainment for Potawatomi Hotel and Casino.”
The hotel and casino laid off about 2,400 employees who were at first furloughed, and is currently struggling to fill vacant positions.
Potawatomi Hotel and Casino’s return to normal operations will bring more money to Milwaukee County and state governments.
A year ago, the Milwaukee County Budget Office reported the casino’s annual payment to the county dropped 26%, which equated to more than $1.5 million in lost revenue, reports WISN 12 News.
