Oneida Casino is launching mobile sports betting, the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin announced this week. Players in the Badger State will be able to place online wagers on sporting events through the Oneida Casino Sportsbook Mobile App while at the tribal nation’s gaming venues and other select locations.
Mobile sports wagering is only permitted to bettors physically present at one of the tribe’s casinos or rest stops in the state. Anyone with an Oneida Casino Players Club card can utilize the Sportsbook Mobile App after activating their account at one of the in-person sportsbooks, the Oneida Nation said.
Oneida Casino is the first to launch mobile betting in Wisconsin, with the product going live on Monday. The product is already live at the Main-Airport, W. Mason and Irene Moore Activity Center casinos. Geofencing is in place to prevent bets from outside designated areas.
It also works at Oneida Nation’s one-stop rest shops locations, which offer slots gaming, convenience items and gasoline. There are several of them in the Badger State: HWY 54 One-Stop, Four Paths One-Stop, Westwind One-Stop, Packerland Casino & One-Stop, HWY 29 Travel Center Casino & One-Stop, HWY E & HWY EE One-Stop, and Larsen One-Stop.

In order to place mobile wagers, users must download the mobile app to create their accounts. They then must join the Oneida Players Club at Main-Airport, W. Mason, and IMAC locations. After visiting a sportsbook cashier and activating the account at Oneida’s Main-Airport Casino, guests will then be able to palace bets when located at any of the designated locations.
The application offers betting on a series of sporting and non-sporting events, including pro sports teams, amateur or collegiate sporting events (excluding Wisconsin teams), pro sports league drafts, Olympics, and nationally-televised award shows.
The Oneida Nation was the first to debut sports betting in Wisconsin in November, after the tribal nation renegotiated its agreement with the state last year. The new market launched in-person at Oneida’s main casino in Green Bay.
Following the success of its first months of operating sports betting, the tribal nation opened its permanent sportsbook at Oneida Casino in Green Bay earlier this month, ahead of Super Bowl LVI, in an effort to meet NFL-driven wagering.
Officials said that since sports gaming was launched at the Oneida Casino interest has built over time, increasing on a weekly basis. Under its permanent location, the sportsbook features foods and beverages, plus wall-to-wall television coverage of sporting events. The amenity is set not only to allow for wagering but to provide guests with a space in which to socialize and engage with sports.
The Oneida’s current status as the sole provider of sports gaming in Wisconsin is not set to last going forward, however, as other tribes are looking into getting a piece of the pie. The Ho-Chunk Nation has confirmed an interest in launching a sportsbook, while the St. Croix Ojibwe Nation has already signed a new compact amendment with Gov. Tony Evers.
And on Monday, Evers signed a new compact allowing sports betting at the Forest County Potawatomi’s two tribal casinos in the state. The tribal nation expects to open a sportsbook facility at its Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee by the end of the year.
