JACK Cleveland Casino will celebrate its 10-year anniversary on Saturday, May 14. Since its opening in 2012, the casino has attracted over 21 million visitors, turning into one of the main entertainment venues in Cleveland, Ohio.

According to a release from JACK Entertainment, the casino has paid more than $700 million in gaming taxes that benefit the city of Cleveland and its schools. JACK has also donated more than $17 million to local organizations including University Hospitals, the American Cancer Society, Downtown Cleveland Alliance, and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

“We knew from the start that a casino would bring a missing element and energy to Northeast Ohio, which is why we worked so hard to make it a reality, said Matt Cullen, Chairman of the Board of JACK Entertainment. “The region has welcomed us warmly from day one, and we’re proud to have become such an integral part of the community.”

JACK Cleveland Casino plans on celebrating the anniversary in style this month. JACK will give away $1,000 every 10 minutes from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on all Saturdays in the month of May with a $10,000 winner chosen at 10 p.m. The company also plans to recognize 244 team members who have been with the casino since the very beginning, as reported by WKYC Studios.

Last month, the company launched its betJACK online and mobile sportsbook. In anticipation of Ohio’s sports gaming market launch, the platform has made its debut as a free-to-play book: customers can bet on sporting events, but only with free tokens and no money involved.

The product is set to allow Ohio bettors to practice for free while the Buckeye State finalizes the launch of its real-money sports betting market
