During the recent edition of the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, Yogonet had the opportunity to interview Renato Almeida, director of FBM, who highlighted the main products presented by the company and emphasized the importance of understanding the demands of the new international markets, in this post-pandemic reality.

What is your assessment of FBM and FBMDS participation in G2E 2022, and how did you experience the recent edition of the show in Las Vegas, where you could see a return to normality after the pandemic?

The motto “Play Like a Champion” could not be more suiting to the spirit lived during the event. This edition of G2E Las Vegas proved to be a highly productive trade show for FBM and FBMDS. The new products showcased at the event got positive feedback from visitors, and we had days filled with networking sessions and relevant meetings with current and potential clients, which unveiled promising expansion opportunities for our group in the future.

FBM offers a wide range of products, which were the most attractive to visitors from Latin America this year in Las Vegas, and which developments can you highlight in particular?

The FBM Spin & Win and Jin Qián Link launch caught visitors’ attention because they were the debuting products at the event. Moreover, these two packs bring new features to FBM’s slots portfolio and, consequently, different gaming experiences.

Besides the new products, video bingos are a favourite category among some of the LATAM markets. Consequently, the mix of six games selected by FBM for the event, combining the Progressive Series and Bingo Collection lines, got a warm reception from FBM booth visitors.

How does the increasingly strong opening of the online gaming market in Latam influence FBMDS product offerings?

We are aware the LATAM universe has enormous potential as it concentrates on markets with different specificities and business deals to explore. The opening of this region to the iGaming universe allows FBMDS to think of new expansion opportunities that match its market approach.

By this, we mean bringing innovative, reliable and profitable online casino games for operators that can be adaptable to players’ profiles from each country and add something new to their gaming experiences.

Based on what was presented at G2E 2022, what trends do you think will mark the development of the industry in the coming months?

There are a lot of emergent trends impacting the casino industry as we speak. I believe that we will continue witnessing new developments in payment systems and methods with the growing introduction of blockchain and web 3.0 solutions, but the secret for me relies on personalization.

Players want to feel more and more that they are investing their time in online or physical gaming sessions specially designed for them and that can meet their expectations and desires. Companies that can combine a good use of the latest technologies with products that answer these demands will succeed.

And finally, what do you think are the biggest challenges for this sector in the new scenario of normality that could be seen at G2E, after the changes imposed by COVID?

The main challenge is to refine the offer and adapt quickly to customer behavior. We came back from strange and unprecedented times with COVID-19, and several changes happened globally in consumers’ behavior.

Now, more than ever, it is fundamental to be insightful as a casino game provider and be able to read players’ preferences correctly and quickly, in order to stay relevant in a more globalized and competitive casino industry.
