Polish bookmaker STS, which was acquired this year by sports betting giant Entain, is partnering with the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League. The brand has gained the rights to use and localize marketing activities and services in Poland from the first round of matches in the group stage of the competitions.
At the end of August, Entain completed its acquisition of STS. As a result, under Entain’s sponsorship contract with UEFA, the Polish brand can activate the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League rights partnership in Poland.
Thanks to the acquisition, STS gained the advertising right during matches of Polish clubs and the possibility to use a number of digital assets including the use of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League IP, starting with the 2023/24 season.
“STS has for years been the best-known and most recognizable brand among bookmaker companies in Poland. The possibility of synergy in marketing activities after the takeover by Entain brings a number of benefits for us, which will allow, among other things, to strengthen this position,” said Paweł Rabantek, Chief Marketing Officer at STS.
“I am glad that we have been able to implement all the advertising benefits possible for both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League from the first match day. At the same time, I can already announce that the benefits of the partnership will also be perceivable to fans and our customers, including the opportunity to win tickets through attractive promotional campaigns we plan.”
Established in 1997, STS Group is one of the largest bookmakers in Central Europe and a leading brand in Poland. The company, now part of the Entain group, offers sports betting, virtual sports, BetGames and a range of eSports markets in its portfolio.
This latest partnership adds to its sponsorship portfolio, which includes rights as the official sponsor of the Polish national football team, Raków Częstochowa, Korona Kielce, GKS Katowice, Jagiellonia Białystok, Zagłębie Lubin, Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała and Widzew Łódź, as well as the Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle volleyball team.
