Victor Arias, Vice President of Operations for Latin America of Arrise powering Pragmatic Play, talked to Yogonet about his participation in SBC Summit, the current state of the industry in Latin America, and the company’s plans for the future, among other topics.
The company recently celebrated another anniversary of the launch of its LatAm Hub. What is your assessment of Pragmatic Play’s presence in Latin America?
Well, in short, these three years in Latin America have been of continuous growth and materialized dreams. Pragmatic Play has managed to position itself as a leading provider in the region, through agreements with renowned operators, who currently do not hesitate to choose these products and services for their quality and innovation.
It is also very rewarding to see that the supplier has become a benchmark of knowledge in the industry, by sharing its experience in spaces that seek to drive the evolution of the sector and be a role model of undisputed success in the region. And all this has been possible thanks to the creation of a Latam Hub, which already has a team of 50 professionals, with offices in 10 countries.
Looking ahead, what expectations and opportunities do you believe the region has?
Latin America is a region passionate about entertainment and represents a huge growth opportunity for the industry. We can already see transformations in the market that open the way to better and more innovative forms of entertainment.
The Latin American public increasingly prefers online experiences that provide them with adrenaline, fun, and good rewards, from the comfort of their own home. This is where brands such as Pragmatic Play have the opportunity to stand out and continue working on different strategies that offer players products tailored to their needs and preferences, which, it is worth noting, are very varied due to the diversity of the region.
As part of what the company has called “Mission Roadmap 2023”, the next mission is coming up with SBC Summit 2023, where the company will also be a Gold Headline Sponsor. How are you preparing for the event? What are your expectations for the fair?
That’s right, this will be Mission#12 in the supplier’s mission journey, so they have prepared exciting things that reaffirm their commitment to deliver dynamic and innovative experiences. The team is excited to be able to share with attendees and tell them how Pragmatic Play is transforming and elevating gaming experiences.
There is also a great expectation for the event since Pragmatic Play has been nominated for different categories of the SBC Awards Latin America, a symbol of the great effort and commitment that the supplier has made to be the best in its field.
Can we expect any special surprises for the occasion? Which product do you think will be the best received by the public?
Those attending the event will have the opportunity to learn more about the gaming verticals and the supplier’s flagship titles in each category. They will also be able to discover the most recent releases that promise to be an entertainment experience on another level.
In addition, our participation will be led by Spaceman, leader of Mission Path 2023 and protagonist of the first “crash” game developed by the supplier. And I take this opportunity to tell you that, as you may have seen, Pragmatic Play has decided to bet heavily on this game format. Following Spaceman’s success, the second crash title has arrived. So, rather than expecting news in any particular event, I believe that Pragmatic Play has accustomed us to constant news, in every sense of the word.
As the year comes to a close, what are Pragmatic Play’s plans for 2024?
Pragmatic Play has great expectations for 2024. In addition to continuing to expand its presence in the region, create new connections, and be part of relevant spaces in the market, the provider is committed to continuing to drive the growth and professionalization of the industry. That said, there are already new plans, a few goals in place, and certainly new developments to be unveiled later on.
And of course, the non-negotiable priority of offering cutting-edge products, providing a unique user experience, and being the favorite, at all times, of Latin American operators and users.
