Fontainebleau Las Vegas is now part of the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts (FHR) program, a move that could help the newest Las Vegas Strip integrated resort attract well-heeled customers.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas has joined the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program alongside some of the world’s most luxurious hotels. Amex Platinum Card Members can now enjoy competitive rates and complimentary benefits,” the casino announced Wednesday on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

The resort’s decision aligns with its objective of attracting affluent guests. The benefit lies in the estimated two million Amex Platinum cardholders in the US, a demographic known for its high disposable income and propensity for luxury experiences.

Fontainebleau’s location at the north end of the Strip has been a point of contention since its opening, as the area historically poses challenges for new entrants. Moreover, that location is close to comparable venues Resorts World Las Vegas, and Wynn and Encore.

However, with the potential influx of affluent clientele facilitated by the Amex partnership, the resort aims to overcome this obstacle and establish its presence in the competitive Las Vegas market.

As part of other recent initiatives, earlier this year, Fontainebleau rolled out an offer for loyalty program members seeking to elevate their status. In a move to attract guests from competitors, Fontainebleau launched the “Elevate Your Tier” promotion, extending an invitation to loyalty members from various Las Vegas resorts.

The promotion allowed both new and existing Fontainebleau Rewards members to upgrade their tier status based on their current standing in a competitor’s eligible loyalty program. The opportunity was available until June 2.
