Gaming manufacturer and supplier Alfastreet is ramping up production by 20% to meet rising demand for its products. The company reported that while the first quarter proceeded as expected, a surge in orders in late April led to an immediate increase in output.
“Our initial projections for 2024 were conservative. Trade fair participation didn’t suggest a major demand increase. However, numerous proposals quickly turned into confirmed orders, exceeding our expectations,” said CEO Tjaša Luin.
The company is addressing the increased demand by hiring additional staff to support production and development, aiming for at least 5% growth in development by year’s end. It has also secured additional material supplies to maintain a steady production flow during the busy second half. The focus is on the V-line, with the redesigned Verso terminal expected to perform well in 2024.
Alfastreet is also preparing for the G2E Las Vegas show, where it will highlight its rebranded V-line series. This marks a new phase for the company, according to a statement, building on the foundation set at the January ICE London fair.
The company said it is receiving orders from a diverse international clientele, spanning markets like France, Croatia, Serbia, Panama, Colombia, and Asia. With larger orders forecast from September onward and a projected 25% year-on-year growth, Alfastreet is on track for a record-breaking year, it said.
Despite the positive outlook, Alfastreet acknowledged the challenge of a competitive hiring market. The growth of online gaming has increased the demand for skilled professionals, especially in roles such as programmers, IT engineers, service technicians, and product managers. The company said it remains focused on attracting top talent to support its development efforts.
“We accept applications year-round. We’re confident we can expand our development team by at least 5% by the end of the year and launch exciting new projects for our customers as soon as possible,” Luin said.
