Multinational lottery operator Allwyn has announced the appointment of Elena Chambers as its new Group Chief Transformation and Corporate Development Officer. “Elena joins the business at a critical time as it seeks to enhance its strategic growth and transformation initiatives and further build the Allwyn brand,” the company said in a press release.

In this role, Chambers will be tasked with offering expertise on growth opportunities for the business, leading large-scale transformation projects, ensuring smooth transitions, and optimizing business functions. She took up the role on November 18.

Allwyn describes Chambers as an accomplished transformation leader with more than 20 years of experience in operational leadership, strategic planning, advisory, and delivering impactful organizational change.

She joins Allwyn from Virgin Media O2, one of the UK’s largest mobile and broadband companies, where she was Director of Strategy and Transformation from June 2023, working to deliver a comprehensive channel strategy and improve commercial performance.

Her career also saw her take on the role of Chief Operations Officer at 888 Holdings, now Evoke, in London, where she led the post-merger operational integration of William Hill and 888. She also previously worked at Walgreens Boots Alliance, leading a team charged with assessing and refining the Wholesale Division integration roadmap.

Robert Chvátal, Allwyn Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Elena as Group Chief Transformation and Corporate Development Officer as we continue to develop the growing Allwyn brand and business.

Elena is a dynamic and proven business leader, with an exceptional track record of delivering business-wide change. Her capabilities in growing and optimizing global businesses will be indispensable as we seek to make lotteries even more entertaining and enhance the positive impact they can have on society.”

Chambers said: “Allwyn is a truly exciting and dynamic company with a mission to transform the impact of lotteries and casual gaming. The business has a strong commitment to enhancing its social impact and delivering strategic growth underpinned by core foundational values.

I look forward to working with the team in this exciting new chapter for the business to help deliver even better lotteries and games, and I’m delighted to have been appointed.”
