The CEO of Gaming & Technology Events (GAT), José Aníbal Aguirre, and the President of the Association of Permit Holders, Operators and Suppliers of the Entertainment and Gambling Industry in Mexico (AIEJA), Miguel Ángel Ochoa, confirmed that GAT Expo Mexico 2025 will be held on August 20 and 21, 2025, in the Mexican capital.
Both institutions affirmed that this new event “promises to be a milestone for the Latin American gaming industry” and emerges “to give continuity to the first experience shared in GAT Caribe Cancun, expanding the horizon of the new fair in Mexico, moving the venue to Mexico City.”
In that context, Aguirre expressed: “The involvement of Ainsworth, Pragmatic Play, Novomatic, Merkur, Interblock, and other multinationals that have contacted us today, means a great impulse to take off with this new project.”
“Of course, the Mexican industry linked to AIEJA is the cornerstone of GAT Expo Mexico 2025, which is shaping up to be one of the most relevant events on the continent, with an innovative program that will include events such as a golf tournament exclusively for casino operators and the V International Convention of AIEJA,” he added.
Meanwhile, GAT informed that, with the confirmation of this new event, its calendar of activities for 2025 is set as follows:
- GAT Expo Cartagena, April 28, 29 and 30, 2025.
- GAT Expo Mexico, August 20 and 21, 2025.
- GAT Expo Bogota, September 18, 2025.
- GAT Expo Santo Domingo, November 6 and 7, 2025.
The organizers also announced that they will be present at ICE Barcelona, an event to be held in the Spanish city from January 20 to 22, 2025, “promoting the Latin American entertainment industry, its updates and opportunities.”
Balance of GAT Caribe Cancun
GAT Caribe Cancun, held at the Cancun International Center, featured an academy, exhibition stands, and networking, three components that brought together entrepreneurs from different segments of the Mexican gaming ecosystem and executives of global brands from four continents with their eyes on Mexico.
The event was attended by 320 entrepreneurs from 31 countries, including Germany, Netherlands Antilles, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Bulgaria, Brazil, Chile, Cyprus, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Spain, United States, Israel, Ireland, Italy, Dominican Republic, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Sweden, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and Mexico.

During GAT Caribe Cancun, a meeting was also held between the CEO of GAT and leaders of ACE Esports, a company that organizes tournaments in Mexico and Latin America, with the objective of “formulating an action plan to impact and expand communities in the vibrant esports market in the region.”
The event also served as the venue for the 52nd AIEJA Assembly on November 26, “for the first time outside its usual venue in Mexico City, with the massive attendance of more than 130 affiliates and special guests.”
“GAT Expo, a partner of the entity since 2023, will join its Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and will support its programs and activities in the area of communications,” the organizers emphasized.
