ICE Barcelona 2025 marked an important event for SOFTSWISS, providing an ideal platform to showcase its latest developments and engage with key industry players. The transition from London to Barcelona offered a fresh perspective on the gaming sector’s evolution, with SOFTSWISS seizing the opportunity to discuss its regulatory achievements, market growth, and future ambitions.

Carla Dualib, Regional Business Development Manager at SOFTSWISS, shared insights on the company’s recent successes, particularly its expansion into regulated markets, in an exclusive interview with Yogonet. With Brazil officially launching its regulated market on January 1, 2025, SOFTSWISS has positioned itself as a key player in this rapidly growing landscape.

In the following discussion, Dualib elaborates on SOFTSWISS’ approach to market expansion, its long-term plans for Brazil, and the company’s vision for regulated gaming markets. She also touches upon her personal journey with SOFTSWISS and the transformative changes she has witnessed since joining in 2023.

What are some of the main takeaways from the latest ICE edition?

First of all, I love London, but Barcelona is also a wonderful city. The organization was perfect, I had great meetings, and I found the venue much better. It set a fantastic tone for future exhibitions.

What were the highlights of SOFTSWISS’ showcase at ICE Barcelona? What are the major client demands at the moment?

Of course, we focused on regulated markets. Recently, SOFTSWISS achieved certification for its Game Aggregator in Brazil and Peru, and these milestones have generated significant interest among attendees.

Regarding client demands, the primary expectation is to achieve more in less time. Imagine integrating just one certified Game Aggregator and gaining access to all the games it provides without the need to handle separate documentation for individual providers.

Today’s clients are highly discerning; they value their time and money and expect swift, comprehensive solutions. At SOFTSWISS, we know how to meet these demands by offering a complete software ecosystem where each product and payment solution is seamlessly integrated. This ensures that all client needs are addressed effectively.

This year is set to be one marked by change in Brazil, with the launch of the new regulated market on January 1. What can you tell us about this milestone for the country’s industry, and what are your expectations for the year ahead?

The Brazilian market has now become fully official, significantly reducing uncertainties. This development will undoubtedly facilitate work there, and as regulations become further clarified over time, the framework will become more practical, protecting both end consumers and us as part of the B2B business ecosystem.

The market is evolving and growing rapidly before our eyes. It is among the top ten largest iGaming markets globally. As one of the world’s largest economies, Brazil boasts a growing middle class with increasing purchasing power. Naturally, the more affluent people become, the more opportunities they have to explore new entertainment activities.

Additionally, internet and mobile penetration already covers 70% of the population, which is expected to grow even further. This dynamic positions the local mobile gaming market as a top priority for companies aiming to establish a strong foothold in Brazil. As the market matures, regulations will adapt and may even simplify. Shortly, Brazil is poised to become a trendsetter in the iGaming sector.

Before the market launch, SOFTSWISS achieved Brazilian certification in late December for its aggregator. What does this milestone represent for SOFTSWISS?

After receiving the Brazilian certification for the Game Aggregator, we are in the final stages of obtaining certificates for our other products and plan to launch new projects soon. We also have a legal entity in Brazil to ensure smooth communication and support for our clients.

Can you tell us more about the company’s long-term plans for the country? We have already seen SOFTSWISS’ commitment to Brazil through setting up a dedicated team, the appointment of Rubens Barrichello, and the Help Brazil campaign.

We have received requests from new partners and clients regarding deals, and we are also seeing interest from the media to share our insights on the Brazilian market. Our steps have been strategic, and they have helped us become one of the strongest players in the market.

Can you tell us a bit more about potential new clients, partnerships, and movements in this market?

Although we have only recently received the certification, some leading operators with huge audiences in the local iGaming market, such as Blaze and Jonbet, are already cooperating with the Game Aggregator. This is a good sign of the trust and reliability that we bring to the table.

We have also secured integration with leading game providers, including Pragmatic Play, Evolution and Playtech. They are actively working on integrating additional providers to help our clients grow their presence in Brazil. I’m proud of SOFTSWISS being at the forefront of this transformation.

Can you tell us about your story with SOFTSWISS? Having joined the SOFTSWISS team in 2023, amid Brazil’s journey to launching its regulated market, you have been there since the company’s early moves in the country.

These two years have meant a lot to me and have gone by so quickly. I was part of the entire process, and even though SOFTSWISS is a global giant with extensive experience in regulation worldwide, we navigated the challenges and milestones together in Brazil. I’m truly honored and happy to have been part of this journey.
