GAT Events revealed the preliminary agenda of the Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT) Cartagena, a gathering that will take place on April 28, 29, and 30 and with which the brand’s strategic events circuit kicks off.

“I am pleased to present a preview of our programming,” said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events.

He also announced that, as a welcome for attendees who are already in La Heroica, on Sunday, April 27, they will organize a cultural and gastronomic tour of the historic center and the seven-kilometer walled area surrounding this jewel of the Colombian Caribbean.

On Monday, April 28, the agenda will begin with an academic day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where attendees will be able to update themselves on key trends in the gaming industry. The day will close with a networking event, which will take place aboard an exclusive boat tour of the magical bay of Cartagena.

On April 29 and 30, the expo floor will open its doors from 14:00 to 20:00. “We are grateful for the support of our main sponsors: Pragmatic Play, Novomatic, Evolution, and Betconstruct, who make the exhibition, the Academy, and the networking activities of GAT Expo Cartagena 2025 possible,” said Aguirre.

Transitory Free Trade Zone exclusively for GAT

GAT Expo Cartagena 2025 will once again be held at the Las Americas Convention Center, recently expanded and equipped with all the technological and logistical requirements, in a privileged location: 5 minutes from the Rafael Nuñez International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown with first-class hospitality for visitors, exhibitors, and sponsors at the Hotel Las Americas, adjacent to the fairgrounds.

According to the organizers, the large-format exhibition has established itself as the preferred one for the casino sector in the region, with the presence of the most relevant global and local brands in this segment: Win Systems, Novomatic, Merkur Gaming, Ainsworth, Spintec, DRGT, Zitro, IGT, IGC, R Franco, Automated Transactions, RPCol, Playgroup, Bya Group, IZC Mayorista and ASAP Americas

Another announcement from the brand is that the Colombian government has authorized a Temporary Free Trade Zone, exclusively for GAT Expo at the Cartagena Las Americas Convention Center. This authorization will be in effect from March 28 to May 30.

“Thanks to this facility, exhibiting companies will be able to import machinery and equipment from other countries without the need for prior nationalization, avoiding the payment of tariffs and VAT, as long as the products remain within the fairgrounds during the exhibition. This measure represents a key benefit for participants, optimizing logistics and reducing costs in the exhibition of their innovations,” explained GAT’s CEO.

He also said that there are still areas available for the exhibition of slots, roulette wheels, and many other products. “The land-based companies attend and return to our fair in Cartagena for a compelling reason, the return on their investment is positive and the visibility that their brands achieve in strategic markets is extraordinary. GAT Esports: Growing with the Gaming Industry

The organizers also revealed that as in previous editions, GAT Expo Cartagena will have an exclusive space for eSports, where training workshops will be held for eSports athletes, ranging from technical knowledge to physical preparation. In addition, the second version of the GAT Esports Academy will be held in partnership with Colombian Official Esports.

The closing will be marked by eFootball and Counter-Strike tournaments, which for the brand, reaffirms its commitment to the growth of the gamer ecosystem and eSports in Colombia and Latin America.

The GAT Events itinerary will have its next stop in Mexico City on August 28 and 29, where the national and Latin American businessmen with interests in the second most powerful gaming market in the region will meet.

“There, we will be attentive to regulatory novelties adequate to the growth of online gaming, which is booming today, as well as to norms that favor the development of the casino sector,” Aguirre concluded.
