Flutter Entertainment‘s fourth-quarter revenue rose 14%, and full-year revenue surged 19% in 2024, driven largely by the strong performance of its FanDuel brand in the U.S. The company reported $156 million in profit for the fourth quarter and $162 million for the full year, both representing increases of more than 100% over the previous year.

FanDuel continued to strengthen its leadership in the U.S. sports betting and iGaming markets, with average monthly players (AMPs) rising by 7% in the fourth quarter and 13% for the entire fiscal year.

Despite a challenging NFL season, FanDuel reported structural gross revenue margin growth of 14.5% and iGaming revenue growth of 43%. Meanwhile, the strong performance during the Super Bowl helped offset other NFL-related impacts, contributing to a robust start to 2025.

The company maintained a free cash flow, which rose by 175% to $473 million in the fourth quarter and 181% to $941 million for the fiscal year. The share repurchase program, initiated in late 2024, is on track to return up to $1 billion to shareholders in 2025.

The company is preparing for a late 2025 launch of FanDuel in Missouri and an early 2026 launch in Alberta, Canada, with projected investments of $80 million and $10 million, respectively. Despite a tax increase in Illinois impacting 2024 profits by $50 million, executives expressed confidence in mitigating half of this impact in 2025.

Flutter also showcased growth outside the U.S., with progress in the UKI, Italy, India, Turkey, Georgia, and Brazil. The acquisition of MaxBet and anticipated completion of the NSX deal in Brazil in the second quarter of 2025 highlight the company’s strategy of identifying and supporting “local heroes” to expand its market share. Flutter expects to capture 11% of the Brazilian market following the NSX acquisition.

CEO Peter Jackson noted FanDuel’s position as the market leader in both sports betting and iGaming in the U.S., stating that the company is “well-positioned for continued growth” as it moves into 2025. He also indicated the company’s ongoing commitment to capitalizing on opportunities in both regulated gambling and emerging prediction markets.
